The Nanjing Massacre took place in the countrys former capital. Disarmed Chinese
soldiers were mass murdered, while peaceful civilians including seniors, women and children
were slaughtered. After the war, both the Far East International Military Tribunal, which was
organized by 11 countries including the United States, United Kingdom, France,the Soviet
Union and China, and the Nanjing War Criminals Tribunal set special trials on the war
criminals of the Nanjing Massacre. Iwane Matsui and Tani Hisao, respectively class-A and class-B war criminals, were both sentenced to death by court ruling.

I do not know what I may appear to the world;
but to myself I seem to have been only like a boy playing on the seashore,
and diverting myself in now and then finding a smoother pebble or a prettier shell than ordinary,
whilst the great ocean of truth lay all undiscovered before me.
